Youth and Climate Action: a small-scale study in Athens was developed by Ecogenia under its Athens Sustainability Workforce Booster Initiative (ASWoBI). ASWoBI empowered Athenian youth and young professionals to drive climate action through workshops, networking events, and a social media campaign.

Based on participant questionnaires, Ecogenia’s youth project leads created a white paper outlining young people’s perspectives on sustainability challenges and proposing actionable solutions for the Municipality of Athens. The initiative was implemented with the Municipality’s support as part of Bloomberg Philanthropies’ “Youth Climate Action Fund.”

The white paper is available in Greek.

This report evaluates the social impact of Ecogenia’s Civic Service Program at Mount Olympus (April–July 2024) using the Social Return on Investment (SROI) methodology. Developed by Dataphoria and Dotank+, and made possible with the support of Raycap, it assesses the program’s contribution to social and environmental sustainability.

Engaging youth in trail development, sustainable forest management, and disaster prevention, the program achieved an SROI ratio of 5.32, meaning every €1 invested generated €5.32 in social value. The findings highlight the program’s efficiency in creating lasting community and environmental benefits, reinforcing Ecogenia’s commitment to impactful, scalable solutions.

The report is available in Greek and English.
